We are seeking a Director of Brand Activation who will help drive business growth by amplifying the brand
The Director works with the Marketing Leadership team and collaborates with the business leads to advance BNY Mellon’s reputation and brand globally. Heading a team, the selected candidate will help execute the corporate and business marketing plans to ensure they achieve their respective brand goals. In addition, this role will help mitigate risk and protect the brand through enterprise wide governance.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the selected candidate will lead the enterprise-wide Brand Council.Responsibilities:
Responsible for master brand execution, messaging and distribution.
Oversees the BNY Mellon Brand Center, which includes standards, templates and guidelines.
Develop and execute brand strategy, including campaigns, advertising, search, media buying
Collaborate with business marketing teams to implement their marketing strategies, including thought leadership, lead generation campaigns, advertising, social media and events
Mitigate risk and protect the brand, through enterprise-wide governance. Enforces cross-functional alignment with organization's desired visual experience.
Identify, develop and execute franchise sponsorships
Oversee regional brand development and teams
Applies extensive knowledge of industry/segment trends, market climates, best practices and competitor activities, and leverages this knowledge to identify opportunities and recommend effective, competitive, cutting-edge design deliverables.
Reviews and approves proposed project schedules and workflows.
Work with external agencies (creative, media, video and design), ensuring campaigns and visual design reflect the BNY Mellon brand, tone and vision.
Be the point person for BNY Mellon’s various trademarks and registered service marks and provide guidance on newly proposed product/service/entity names.
You’re a strategic and creative thinker with a demonstrated history of translating complex information into creative multiplatform campaigns, supporting client engagement, and the ability to anticipate client challenges.
Plans and implements integrated marketing and communications campaigns in support of key initiatives and business targets. Also supports brand awareness and client relationship-building or prospecting.
Develops and supervises the execution of marketing campaigns in accordance with strategic objectives. Takes the lead on the full project lifecycle from development to delivery, tracks marketing content using measurable performance indicators from said business lines.
Skilled multi-tasker who handles pressure well and has the ability to work with a wide range of people on multiple projects simultaneously through excellent team management.

Determines staffing and workflow needs for projects. Assists the department with resource planning. Has track record for hiring and retaining excellent talent.
Responsible for team management, morale, workflow process, resource allocation and employee engagement.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
15+ years of total work experience, with 5-7 years of management experience, preferred.
Requires strong writing and communications skills.BA or BFA in Visual Arts or related field combined with visual design and project management or equivalent work experience preferred. Experience in corporate visual brand design, creative strategy development and print, online and multi-media design, and art direction preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
