Role description and opportunities

BNY Mellon seeks a champion of data insights and a proven enterprise marketing leader who has experience creating performance-marketing cultures. You will help lead the transformation of Marketing to be more data-driven. As the Director of Marketing Analytics, you and your team will uncover marketing and client insights in order to drive business results. This role will work with large collections of data, including CRM systems, website analytics, email data, paid media campaigns, events, digital platforms, social media, client data and competitive intelligence. Through creating real-time dashboards, predictive models and audience segmentation, you will help the firm with attribution and campaign measurement—ultimately driving growth and client satisfaction. You will be a leader to the analytics team, helping to grow capabilities and improve operational efficiencies and governance. You will influence content, personalization and the customer journey to give the firm a competitive marketing advantage. This is a great opportunity to help spearhead a growing analytics group and build out this functional business area.



Key responsibilities include the following
  • Drive a data-first culture and deliver meaningful insights
  • Translate value and impact of data to key executives and business partners
  • Develop the team’s capabilities as needed to support business intelligence efforts across a global organization
  • Leverage statistical techniques (such as R, SAS) to analyze data to inform marketing decisions
  • Lead the strategic vision and own all of marketing analytics, KPIs and success metrics inclusive of attribution, campaign-reporting and tag-management using Adobe
  • Ensure data integrity through validation and testing
  • Transform data into rich, meaningful, relevant visualizations through Tableau
  • Manage large, complex campaigns, collaborating with both business marketing and client-facing teams
  • Balance budgets and manage vendors
  • Lead and provide hands-on experience for junior team members in data management, building segmentation and data science

Qualifications

A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications:

  • 15+ years of business intelligence, data analytics or data engineering work
  • 7+ years in leadership roles
  • Background working in advertising agencies, online retail services, credit card companies or consulting firms preferred
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights
  • Ability to identify trends in real-time to help inform content, marketing and client facing teams to make smarter business decisions.
  • Capability to communicate insights to all levels of the organization including Executive Management
  • Strong presentation, communication and analytical technology skills
  • Must be comfortable providing analytics that integrate Social, Website, Paid Media, Events, Email
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, CRM, Marketo, Tableau, R, Python, SQL/Oracle and/or Alteryx a plus


    This role will be based in New York.
