Job Description

The Bank of Montreal is currently looking for a talented Azure, O365 and SharePoint Application Developer to join the Corporate Technology team. This individual will be responsible for and have working knowledge on creating, optimizing, managing and maintaining Azure Services, O365 solutions, as well as SharePoint 2013/Online portals, sites and custom applications.

  • Writes high quality and well-documented code according to accepted standards, based on user requirements.
  • Develop custom app parts and applications that integrate with SharePoint and other enterprise systems
  • Utilizing strong communication skills, is able to meet with business partners and other technical team members to discuss projects and solutions
  • Participates in project and team meetings interacting and collaborating with team members and other departments as appropriate
  • Contributes to successful completion of project deliverables on time and on budget
  • Provides support and leadership to other team members as required
  • Forward thinking and innovate, this candidate can help us with adoption of cloud technologies and tools.


  • 5+ years of experience with Azure,O365 and/or SharePoint application development (SPO, SP2013, SP2010 and SP2007)
  • Understanding of SharePoint features and services as well as cloud tools
  • Experience creating solutions with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Documenting design and configuration of solutions
  • Knowledge of database management tools (SQL)
  • Troubleshooting operational applications and resolving issues
  • Unit testing solutions to ensure minimal defects
  • Communication and escalation to key stakeholders as required
  • Experience working with business users, Business Analysts and Quality Assurance Analysts, Engineers, Operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities
  • Experience working on larger scale projects from end to end (SDLC)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both oral and written
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps
