Create, develop and execute marketing initiatives and provide operational assistance to all members of BMO B2B Marketing Coverage team, supporting marketing projects for Commercial, Metropolitan Business, Capital Markets and GAM businesses.
This position requires skills in the areas of marketing strategy, communication, creative thinking, decision-making acumen, negotiation and problem solving while demonstrating personal integrity and honesty.
50% Communications and Collateral Development
Manage, create and execute Exact Target or other Salesforce Marketing Tools
Support marketing and creative development and production of print and digital collateral
Craft concise and clear communications and develop marketing materials, with input from bankers and marketing managers, aligned with brand and visual standards
Manage, create and execute client-facing email communications using Salesforce Marketing tTols including Cvent and Pardot
Data management and dashboard reporting within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Understand and coordinate marketing material graphic production and printing processes, and working with creative brief and traffic managers to ensure timely completion of projects
Identify and maintain credentials and proof points to be used across the business
Assist with Compliance review and approval, including documentation retention
Understand our business, marketing materials and business terminology and unique differentiators
25% Event and Sponsorship Coordination
Manage marketing needs around specific industry conferences and events in partnership with dedicated teams
Research trade shows and publications applicable to our client base and provide recommendations
Manage allocation, communication, distribution and tracking of sponsorships and events (Salesforce and Excel)
Coordinate and support marketing managers, team leads or associates in Chicago, New York and Toronto to ensure alignment and cooperation of marketing activities which may include scheduling meeting or drafting meeting minutes
Manage post-event activities such as surveys, Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) reporting and capturing qualitative feedback
15% Financial and accounts payable oversight and responsibilities
Coordinate payment of vendor invoices, track expenses against budget for marketing and event programs, initiate with finance any necessary cross-charges between accounts, create and distribute associated budget reports
Support relationships with internal partners with oversight from managers
Demonstrated strength in writing and editing
Willingness to take lead on projects, and complete, task-based assignments
Manage, create and execute targeted email campaigns
Able to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
Able to communicate with and suggest recommendations to internal partners, senior leadership, and external vendors
Able to work as part of a team
Computer literate. Comfortable with technology such as Microsoft Office Software (.ppt, excel, word) and cloud based tools such as Adobe and Salesforce
- Client service orientation, driven to meet or exceed client expectations
- Interest in corporate finance and investment banking
Experience and Education:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications.
Experience in bookkeeping, AP or invoice processing
2 years of experience in a marketing-related position with business-to-business experience preferred
2 years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience (or similar email marketing platform software)
2 years of corporate event/trade show experience an asset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated writing and editing skills
Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, shortcuts, sorting), PowerPoint and Word
Proficiency in Adobe editing or Workfront Software
Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Tools (Exact Target, Pardot)
