Managing Director, Regional Sales, Wealth Advisory Services At Blue Chip Recruiting Ltd.

Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Advisory Services, Our Client would
like to hire a Managing Director, Regional Sales, Calgary who is a master
in sales leadership, a strong collaborator, inspired coach and dedicated
mentor, and is ready to take their region to the next level in wealth
management growth.

The Role

The Managing Director, Regional Sales provides
leadership and direction to a team of Senior Financial Advisors regarding all
aspects of management including client experience, business planning and
development, sales management, associate experience through talent management
and compliance. The role is responsible for managing the corporate Wealth
Management strategy through planning, leadership and influence, ensuring
increased and sustained performance levels.

Specific

Accountabilities:
Provide leadership and direction to a Senior
Financial Advisor team to ensure individual and regional goal achievement.

Conduct
formal and informal performance reviews to close any performance or target gaps

Conduct
coaching as required to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce. This includes
identifying gaps or issues, sharing best practice, helping remove barriers, and
providing advice to resolve any issues

Responsible
for the talent management process which includes recruitment of top talent,
performance management and termination when necessary

Lead
compensation discussions and decisions to help ensure recruitment and retention
of top talent.

Work
on continuous improvement or participate in new initiatives to further sales
opportunities, partnerships, the client experience, and/or advisor engagement.

Collaborate
with Talent Development
team to determine specific talent development needs and align appropriate
development support to build and sustain a team capable of achieving mastery

Act
as primary point of contact for Senior Financial Advisors to provide support
and respond to inquiries, customer issues, as well as removing barriers and
connecting FAs with the right resources.

Provides leadership to
Manager, Financial Advisor Associates in the execution of a support strategy
designed to enhance the client experience and in support of the growth
strategy.

Provides strategic direction to the regional
sales team and develops business plans, programs and procedures for the region.
Also provides ongoing coaching and support to Senior Financial Advisors on
individual or team business planning, ensuring advisors take ownership of their
business practice and that all plans support the achievement of advisory
services business targets.

In
support to the VP Advisory Services, lead the formulation of the long-term
strategy and develop annual regional business plan to ensure all programs and
activities are in alignment with the Firm s Wealth
Management objectives.

Work
with Senior Financial Advisors in the development of their individual business
plans to ensure regional goals are met or exceeded. Coach and guide Senior
Financial Advisors to ensure a targeted approach is developed on sales,
partnership, client satisfaction and referral plans to support the achievement
of targets.

Ensure
alignment of advisor business plans into the greater regional and corporate Wealth Management strategy while
assessing short and long term change management implications.

Monitor
the performance of Senior Financial Advisors, provide coaching and advice, and
hold FAs accountable to their business plans and individual goals.

Establish and maintain relationships with
internal partners and external parties to ensure strong collaboration and
enhancement of organizational reputation.

Collaborate
with Wealth Management and the
Firm s internal partners, with a focus on other areas of expertise sales teams,
to ensure a consistent and elevated client experience

Collaborate
with Digital Channel,
Insurance, Investment Management and the Firm s internal partners committing to
referral and closed sales goals, and ensure that Senior Financial
Advisors are accountable to these commitments.
Influence leaders of the other areas of expertise to hold their team members
accountable as well.

Identify
participate in opportunities to enhance Wealth Management s presence in the community
and elevate the customer experience.

Participate
in activities connecting with the community in an effort to generate additional
and new business while enhancing the Firm s organizational reputation.

Work with Compliance partners to ensure that the
sales activities are conducted in compliance with the required internal and
external regulations.

Competencies

and Skills Required:
Deep
understanding of the investment industry in regards to both sales and
compliance along with a sophisticated understanding of the economic consumer
and global issues facing the Firm s corporate Wealth Management Initiatives.

Existing
credibility within the investment industry

Demonstrated
ability to lead, motivate and influence advisors as business owners, and hold a
team accountable to documented goals and the corporate vision.

Exceptional
interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate and
connect with internal business partners, team members and customers

Demonstrated senior
level collaboration, planning, negotiation, and influencing skills

Designations/Training

Required/Prerequisites:
A minimum of 10
years related experience in the investment industry including at least 5 years
of sales leadership experience with a proven track record of recruiting and
leading a successful sales team.

University Degree
in Finance or Business

Completion of
CSC, CPH and Branch Manager Courses

Financial
Planning Designation

Registered or
eligible for immediate registration by IIROC
