We are seeking a proven, tactical and strategic Sr. Director, Inside Sales to lead the company’s North American sales development strategy and establish global best practices for engaging prospective clients. Reporting to the Vice President, North America Sales, the ideal candidate will be a valuable contributor to the overall sales strategy and has a passion for developing sales professionals; one that takes prides in the number of successful sales or customer success careers that they have launched.

As someone committed to developing people, you have developed a variety of coaching techniques and are constantly improving on them. Having mastered the role before, the ideal candidate is a mentor, someone that has deep empathy for the people that they work with. As Achievers is a global operation, this individual is able to scale the team spanning multiple geographies and time zones as well as collaborate with our EMEA and APAC leadership sharing the best practices for them to implement in their regions. Most importantly, this role is about the continual evolution of the sales development profession, specifically as it relates to engaging HR professionals with insightful approaches and empathy for how we can help them make their world better.

This role is being posted in both Toronto and San Francisco with the intent of hiring a single candidate for the role.

]Responsibilities:

  • Create the SDR Team’s vision and strategy to align with corporate growth goals in North America region.
  • Closely collaborate with North American sales leadership (Vice President and Regional Vice Presidents) on the right engagement strategy for outbound, inbound and third-party sales development relationships
  • Align with and execute the Account Based Acquisition strategy, playbook for effective and focused outbound demand generation
  • Work with the Revenue Operations team to create, implement and measure automation for scale and repeatability, sales policy and compensation plans.
  • Actively mentor and coach the SDR Team daily providing continual skill development
  • Continually grow the team individually and in terms of additional team members to maintain our high growth targets
  • Inspire employees and drive a world-class Inside Sales culture.
  • Work with the Revenue Operations Team to measure analytics, conversion rates and performance.
  • Ability to train new Enterprise and National Account Executives on Outbound sales tech stack and best practices.
  • Be part of the company’s growth and development by developing SDRs into candidates ready for future Sales Account Executive or Customer Success positions
  • Prepare, distribute and reinforce performance reporting to provide visibility into the team’s success and challenges and to enable cross department team leader collaboration and continual improvement
  • Meet with employees regularly to review progress, coach, mentor and develop them professionally
Qualifications:
  • At least 2+ years of sales development leadership experience and 4+ years’ experience managing both outbound qualification to opportunity teams and teams that carry the full sales cycle, “closing” inside sales teams
  • Experience with developing successful sales professionals
  • Experience with creating and implementing outbound call scripts and outbound approach communications, without losing empathy for the target contacts we are looking to engage
  • Experience designing and implementing inside sales policy and compensation plans
  • Experience designing and implementing demand generation strategies for both company offerings and those from Achiever’s partners
  • Working knowledge/experience of the HR software and employee engagement space would be a plus.
  • You are highly organized and able to prioritize tasks for the team
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills, public speaking skills a plus to help build brand of company and recruiting future “A-Players”
  • Must be able to thrive in a very fast paced environment
  • Related Bachelor's degree
