Position: Payroll Administrator

Location: Vancouver

Job Status: Regular Part Time

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work: 16 hours per week. Overtime as required


We are currently looking for a dynamic, hardworking, service oriented individual to join our payroll group in Vancouver. This individual should have payroll experience and will be used to working in a deadline driven environment, requiring concentration and an attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Complete and submit freelance, part-time and full-time payroll to Bell Employee Services payroll department for processing accurately and within prescribed time frame
  • Reconcile freelance payroll submission against payroll report data and code to the G/L, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Respond to all staff questions regarding their pay and expense submissions
  • Maintain and monitor crew management and costing within crew management system
  • Complete staff overtime summaries and freelance staff payroll for submission to payroll department based on submissions from timesheets
  • Database management including personnel information, rates, and position information
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College or University degree an asset
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification an asset
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in Payroll
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel
  • Very high level of confidentiality.
  • Proactive with the ability to identify and solve problems using sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills with especially high attention to accuracy
  • Strong people interaction skills
  • Consistent professional attitude and disposition
  • Reliable, approachable, courteous, with a focus on internal assistance
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
