Responsibilities:

  • Manage intake of business learning requests.
  • Conduct a needs analysis, establish objectives and consult with key stakeholders to recommend suitable learning solutions.
  • Create and develop memorable and engaging content including; mobile friendly e-learning, instructor led and/or virtual instructor led presentations, leader guides, digital assets, surveys, etc
  • Update and refresh existing learning assets to align with business goals and objectives.
  • Partner and collaborate with external vendors for content development.
  • Adhere to corporate writing, design and brand standards.
  • Liaise with business as needed for sign off and approvals.
  • Participate in cross functional HR teams to determine design, redesign and sustainment opportunities.
  • Interact with other learning teams across the business to share best practices, brainstorm and source new innovative ideas.
  • Incorporate gamification techniques to build a strong and fun learning culture.
  • Partner with HR systems team to ensure LMS compatibilities and capabilities, content testing, accessibility and user experience.
  • Conduct post mortem evaluations to measure learning effectiveness.

Qualities & Expertise

  • Experience with learning development /instructional design software.
  • Knowledge of latest innovations, digital offerings and technologies in learning & content.
  • Ability to edit and implement HTML and graphics.
  • Knowledge with SharePoint in an asset.
  • Attention to detail, organized and creative.
  • University degree or College Diploma in instructional design/development.
  • Formal education/certification/designation(s) in Training including applied Adult Learning principles is an asset.
  • Working knowledge and experience of training, communication applications/tools; (Articulate, Captivate, Lectora, LMS platforms/SCORM).
  • Strong working knowledge of the internet, web design trends and best practises.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Dreamweaver.
  • Solid MS Office Suite skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Self motivated, proactive, comfortable multitasking with acute attention to detail.

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
