Product Manager - Chelates (1901683) - Florham Park, NJ Where the Chemistry Happens In the North American Care Chemicals Division, we develop, produce, and market a comprehensive range of products for personal care, home care, and industrial and institutional cleaning, as well as various technical applications. Our range of products fulfills the highest standards regarding safety and sustainability. As a result of focused research and development, we are a preferred partner of our customers worldwide. As the Product Manager for Chelates, you will be part of the Alkoxylation & Chelates Product Management team that has product line responsibility for all standard Chelates. These products are produced both regionally and imported from BASF’s global network chelate facilities. The position required close coordination with our joint venture site in Lima, Ohio.

Formula for SuccessAs a leader, you will be responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth in the Chelate portfolio through effective margin management and volume growth of the assigned product groups including pricing, pricing process, cost management, customer bids, business forecasting, etc. Leveraging your educational background in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry and professional experience in marketing, operations, product management, or supply chain, you will be responsible for strategy planning and project execution working with complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional and global teams. Building upon your business savviness, you will monitor market trends and drivers with understanding of key raw material movements and developments and capture market, competitive and pricing intelligence through leverage of external and internal sources. Driving results of the portfolio, you will monitor raw material trends, market supply/demand balance and market pricing, and asset utilization. With NA business management, you will set pricing strategies and recommend necessary adjustments as necessary. As a collaborator, you will work closely with other product managers on the team (NA and global) as well as all Care Chemical sales, marketing, operations and production teams, other Business Units for transfer products, and BASF platform groups.
