Brief Description

Barracuda is seeking an Account Executive to help support the customer base in the Toronto area. We are seeking talented, motivated sales performers who are responsible for achieving the territory new business target. The AE will be responsible for planning and executing the territory strategy in alignment with the overall regional plan. Through very strong end-user touch, the Account Executive will leverage channel relationship to find and develop opportunities.

Performance Objectives

  • The Account Executive will be responsible for demonstrating their sales skills, by developing and maintaining a strong monthly sales pipeline. They will be expected to drive revenue and market share in a defined sales territory, while meeting their monthly quota with accurate forecasting. The top candidate will create new opportunities and is directly involved in developing and presenting products, solutions and/or services that specifically address customer's needs. The AE also demonstrates strong knowledge of the company’s entire product line and offerings.
  • The Account Executive builds and maintains a strong presence within the territory and develops a network of colleagues, partners, resellers and solutions providers to help close business. By utilizing strong relationship management skills, the AE will collaborate with Marketing and Channel Managers to develop and execute marketing plans through/with end users and partners. The AE will be responsible for developing “Go to Market Strategy” for partnership. Finally, the top AE will have the ability to prospect and manage C-Level and senior level relationships within organizations.
  • Operationally, the AE will need to understand and work in all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations and the closing process. They will utilize a consultative selling approach to educate channel partners and end-users and provide timely follow-up, closure and tracking of all identified opportunities. The AE will also be capable of leveraging partner solutions to broaden Barracuda’s product footprint into partner portfolio.


  • BA / BS.
  • 4-7+ years of prior sales experience in security, storage, IT hardware, software, or services preferred.
  • Excellent business acumen, negotiation, communication and closing skills.
  • Experience in mid-market, public and/or enterprise sales & marketing.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, while changing and realigning priorities.
  • Proven track record of success in a transactional and project-based sales environment.
  • A demonstrated passion for Security and/or Storage markets.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of effectively interfacing with cross-functional departments and sales management teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success record in a team environment.
  • This is a home office based position with a strong desire for a candidate residing in Toronto.
