The successful candidate must be comfortable in a fast paced, Agile environment and ensure that all projects deliver the desirable outcomes.

The Systems Team within the Digital Channels Technology group supports automated sanity and regression testing (both automated and manual) for a variety of Payments applications.

The Systems Team is also focused on:

  • Automating regression test cases
  • Evaluating tools used for automated testing
  • Assisting with the test adoption of automation strategies
  • Guiding, mentoring and training testers
  • Documenting release test plans
  • Assisting with defect management and triaging application issues
  • Regression testing status reporting

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Development and Production Support Teams whenever there is a connection related problem
  • Use the command shell to inspect file permissions and running processes to analyze future changes or troubleshoot problems
  • Analyze system and application performance with Performance Test teams
  • Evaluate and plan changes to the infrastructure/middleware for upcoming projects or operational changes
  • Assist developers in fixing their system access

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline or comparable work experience is required
  • Independent worker with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) to document/communicate issues
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple competing tasks and priorities with rapidly changing environment
  • Understanding of standards such as LDAP, DNS, SSH/SFTP, SSL, HTTP, XML, JSON, and other protocols
  • Technical competence with Red Hat Linux OS and its command shell
  • Technical competence configuring java to run within Web Application Servers
  • Technical competence interacting with Oracle databases using SQL
  • Good understanding of Networking, Load Balancers, Storage Area Networks, Multipath solutions, Virtualization and Cloud technologies
  • Trouble-shoot experience and skilled with incident management and conducting post mortems
  • Understanding of Access Management, Power Broker, BladeLogic tools
  • Prior experience analyzing system performance using monitoring and application log files.
  • Ability to contribute as a technical resource for others
  • Evaluate and plan changes to the infrastructure/middleware resulting from projects or operational changes
