Cosmos is a global, cross asset initiative in a recently created Post Trade Processing team in FICC Technology. Although all trading platforms used in the front office have some notion of trade lifecycle, each has a different implementation. As a result it is impossible to obtain a consistent view of the trade lifecycle activity that has occurred across these platforms. At the same time there is increasing demand to provide reports and analyses based on the trade lifecycle activity that occurs, and to do so across lines of business and trading systems. In particular, many of the enterprise and regulatory programs that need to be delivered in upcoming years require access to this data in a timely, reliable, and consistent manner. This inconsistent view of the trade lifecycle activity also is the source of downstream inefficiencies in non-standardization and required manual processing and controls. The scope of Cosmos spans from trade capture through to downstream operation processing across all asset classes.
Responsibilities:
Required to interact with senior management inside and outside of technology, including Trade Control and Core Operations teams.
Responsible for cross asset quality improvement projects for the Post Trade Processing team.
Coordination of user requirements and user impact with our global partners in Trade Control and Core Operations.
Work closely with managers and executives to evaluate current methods and processing inefficiencies in developing strategies to implement strategic changes and technology improvements related to trade processing standardization.
Assist in the creation and approval of business cases to present to senior executives for project funding. Manage the analysis of assembled data to define problems, which would include cost/benefit analysis and scope of the project.
Responsible for the proper documentation of existing and target procedures, workflow, user requirements.
