Back End Developer - Key individual contributor, with accountability for researching, innovating, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting brand-new information processing capabilities derived from our core technologies (software and hardware). Utilizes in-depth technical knowledge to design and develop innovative solutions to meet a wide range of emerging software technology and business needs and requirements. Develops and implements within security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse environments (e.g. client server, distributed, mainframe, etc.). Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems.
Good knowledge of software design techniques such as domain driven design. Extensive knowledge of object orientated design patterns is required. Functional design pattern knowledge is a plus. In addition, must have a good understanding of basic web patterns such as RESTful API’s, MVC and MVVM.
The candidate has a strong understanding of database design, knows and comprehends the strengths and weaknesses of the different levels of database normalization/de normalization, knowledge in DB performance improvements like tuning, optimization, partitions with experience in handling high volume of data, has knowledge of some NoSQL technologies and understands the limitations and considerations required to implement hybridized solutions.
Can read and write code fluently in C# or F#. Is able to integrate database, NoSQL, knowledge in migrating one database to another one like Oracle to SQL Server or vice versa. Has advanced understanding of database constraint concepts such as indexes, primary keys, and reading query execution plans. Knowledge on and memory cache solutions into .NET code efficiently. Understands how to troubleshoot database issues, NoSQL issues and any outlier issues with regard to the software written.
