The Position
The National Practice Executive (NPE) will drive sales growth in partnership with Philanthropic, UST and ML sales. The NPE is the national subject matter expert and key resource to drive relationship deepening and relationship retention for their specific area of expertise and specialization. The NPE drives the development of value propositions, best practices and thought leadership for their respective areas of specialization, as well as the primary educator to colleagues across the markets.
Major responsibilities include:
- National spokesperson and subject matter expert on private philanthropy

Help drive and support sales and business development activities in growing the private philanthropy business

Deliver pre and post-sale customized consulting and advisory services to private philanthropy prospects and relationships for both US Trust and Merrill Lynch channels;

Lead the development of private philanthropy consulting/advisory tools and deliverables including building tailored resources for special populations, e.g. next generation, no heirs/legacy planning

Key practitioner and content creator for private philanthropy, includes best practice development and delivery

Deliver presentations at national, regional and market level conferences, seminars and other venues

Is the subject matter expert and resource to assist with vetting opportunities, the ongoing discovery process and review/preparation of presentations to foundation prospects
The Candidate

Experience and credibility as a sales practitioner

Articulate in communicating value proposition in field of expertise/specialization

Strong consultative and advisory skills with ability to conceptualize and position ideas and solutions

Comprehensive knowledge of Enterprise capabilities

External visibility through active involvement in role related networking, affiliate opportunities

Communicates with presence; listens effectively to demonstrate understanding, and communicates with clarity and conviction to influence thinking

Excellent ability to work in team environment, both within US Trust and across the BAC franchise

Strong leadership skills

Projects executive presence to clients, employees, and colleagues
Desired Qualifications

10+ years of successful experience in consulting, relationship management or sales

Demonstrated sales track record

Depth of knowledge in private philanthropy consulting or management
