Business Banking Relationship Manager Development Program At Bank of America

Job Description:

The Relationship Manager Development Program is a full time 12 month program designed to prepare selected participants for a successful career as a Business Banking Relationship Manager. The program teaches the technical knowledge of credit, treasury and client management fundamentals with rotations. Participants will learn through a combination of formal classroom education, exposure, case studies and hands-on learning experiences. The combination of classroom and hands-on learning is designed to give participants a foundation of both technical knowledge and skills to further their career. Throughout the program, the participants will report to the Market Executive or Market manager and work closely with Relationship Managers and Credit & Treasury partners. This role is a Band 5 position.

Rotational assignments include

  • Credit fundamentals: Develop commercial credit skills through learning and application of concepts
  • Treasury: Gain exposure to cash management solutions
  • Client management: Learn to lead the client team, effectively prospect, analyze client/prospect needs and deliver the right solutions.

Required skills and experience

Associates will have the demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, self-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have the experience and ability to handle multiple and competing priorities, learn new processes and tools quickly, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to assess complex financial data and situations and distill information into relevant decisions for partners and clients.

  • Minimum of 12 months in current role
  • Undergraduate degree, (business, finance or economics, or similar) – MBA Preferred
  • Strategic orientation – The capacity to engage in broad, analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Market insight – a strong understanding of how macro market indicators affect commercial businesses
  • Client driven – a passion for delivering for the client
  • Results orientation – a commitment to demonstrably achieving key business metrics
