HR Recruiting Intern At Baker Tilly Virchow Krause

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

The HR Recruiting Intern is responsible for administrative duties relating to the recruitment process. The Intern will be responsible for supporting the temporary and permanent placement operations teams with sourcing efforts and administrative work. Our team is looking for someone who will take initiative, be proactive, have a positive attitude and be able to roll with the punches. We are a collaborative and supportive team. There’s a lot of flexibility with this role and it’s a great opportunity to gain experience in the staffing world!

The individual in this role will work roughly 10-15 hours/week. The internship is open-ended and can run through the remainder of the school year, into the summer and possibly into the following school year. Our dress code is dress for your day, meaning you can wear jeans any day but must look business professional.

What You Will Contribute:
  • Post jobs and source on Indeed, LinkedIn and Illinois job boards
  • Update/refresh job postings accordingly
  • Conduct audits in our Applicant Track System (Bullhorn) to ensure candidate files are complete and current
  • Run background checks on candidates
  • Conduct phone screens and schedule interviews
  • Make calls to check references
  • Scan, file and organize candidate documents including I-9’s
  • Format resumes
  • Assist with other related duties as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field.
  • Outstanding academic performance required, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in a sales or customer service role preferred.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn.
  • Be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship during the internship program and as a full-time employee.
