Position Overview
At Autodesk-Shotgun, we’re building collaboration software to enable creative teams across the world to work together, with the most efficient possible workflows of the multimedia production industry.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic test automation engineer to join our exciting team of professionals. Hi primary mandate will be to help ensure we provide our clients the highest quality product that they expect from us.
You will work in a team using Agile development methodologies. You will use automated test techniques in a continuous delivery pipeline to simplify the validation of code changes in frequent and fast delivery cycles. The tools and structures you develop and deploy will need to provide robust anomaly detection mechanisms across multiple platforms (Window, Mac, and Linux). Your ultimate mission is to promote quality and preserve the stability of product performance. You are a patient and motivated individual who is ready to work on complex and dynamic systems with a minimum of supervision. You will be required to work closely with quality assurance analysts and developers to continually improve the overall customer experience and continually add value to our products and services.
Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tools and structures to facilitate automated testing in a dynamic and scalable pipeline
  • Create plans to test features and functionality at the code level
  • Analyze and participate in the design, development, and end user testing of the applications
  • Contribute to expose the features of the application to facilitate their automation.
  • Script automated tests and test suites
  • Estimate, plan, schedule and coordinate scripting tasks
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and other feature team meetings throughout the product development life cycle
  • Clearly document, manage, and prioritize defects from multiple sources
  • Collaborate with development and QA analysts to perform root cause analysis
  • Evaluate (commercial, open-source or proprietary) testing tools and test frameworks which can be leveraged within a project
  • Enforce Engineering Excellence practices and drive quality early in the development cycle; encouraging code standards, unit testing, test driven development and other strategies to improve and ensure code quality
  • Ensure consistency and reliability of tests as well as an adequate response to problems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Min: DEC in computer Sciences or related field
  • 1-3 years work experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Proven experience with Python or other scripting tool
  • Knowledge of test concepts, practices and procedures
  • Understand automated testing methodologies and practices
  • Experience with performance benchmarking
  • Experience with off the shelf test automation tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an iterative, Agile development process.
  • Knowledge of React, JavaScript and C++
  • Bilingual
  • Experience with Jenkins
