We are currently looking for a Manager, Product Quality Support
for the VW & Audi Brands at our Corporate Office in Ajax, ON

As an experienced automotive technical leader with a thorough knowledge of complex diagnosis and repair, you will lead the product support team in providing technical support to the VW & Audi dealer network in Canada as well as in-office support for various internal groups and departments.

Reporting into the Director, Technical Services, you will manage the problem resolution process and be the primary point of contact and liaison for the Volkswagen AG and Audi AG factories. Utilizing your communication and influencing skills, you will ensure dealers are provided with all available sources of information on standardized or specialized repair procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct the product support team (Technical Helpline, Product Support & Product Quality)
  • Implement and control agreed measures to meet business targets through the product support team
  • Monitoring of set business objectives for each member of the product support team
  • Create as required reports on Volkswagen and AUDI product quality for the manufacturer and internal departments
  • Categorize and summarize quality issues from the field for furtherance to Volkswagen AG and AUDI AG
  • Primary contact between Helpline, Product Support and the Quality entities of Volkswagen AG and AUDI AG (Factory)
  • Primary contact for all factory enquiries ensuring that the requested information is delivered to the Quality Departments of the producing factories
  • Ensure that dealers are provided all available sources of technical information on standardized or specialized repair procedures
  • Provide internal/external support as defined in the VTA/ATA escalation process at level 1 & 2
  • Ensure evaluation of all new publications as supplied by AUDI AG, VWAG or VWoA
  • Ensure participation in the weekly compliance discussions with VWoA and escalate any identified issues
  • Primary contact between Group After Sales and Volkswagen/AUDI Brand on all technical matters
  • Analyze training requirements for the personnel of the Product Support team
    Assume ownership/accountability for management reports and dealer satisfaction targets
  • Final authority on all technical bulletins
  • Ensure that the quality and quantity fulfillment of the various SLA's with Volkswagen, AUDI and VWoA are adhered to and escalate any issues to the Director, Technical Services (Tools, equipment, service literature, service systems, technical information, translation services & recall campaigns)
  • Completion of timely reporting requirement for both manufacturer and Canada
  • Budget custodian

What we’re asking for:
  • Technical diploma or degree in Engineering or Technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in automotive industry; Audi/VW Technician experience an asset
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to effective lead and manage a team
  • Thorough understanding of dealer service operations
  • Experience leading groups and organizations
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written; Fluency in French and/or German an asset
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Flexible for up to 15% travel (mainly Canada, USA, Germany, and Mexico)
