Atos is currently seeking a Sitecore Fullstack Developer to join the Global IT Department working onsite with our customer in Montreal Canada. The senior developer will work directly with the IT Global Director, Project Delivery and Governance customer teams. The primary purpose of the Sitecore Fullstack Developer is to assist the backend developers with the analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and support of various applications created to support business needs.


Must be deeply familar with Sitecore 8.2 platform version. The customer is in need of someone who can assist with application stabilization and on-boarding of new CMS users. Requires an experienced Sitecore developer to assist in optimizing the solution. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude, good communication skills and the capacity to adapt to changing situations. Resourcefulness and excellent problem-solving skills are also a must. Experience working with offshore teams a plus.


PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

  • Implement performance tuning strategies such as cashing, indexing, code and query optimization
  • Help with bug investigation and fixing
  • Assist with configuration of various modules (analytics, email marketing, WFFM, etc.)
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications (responsive design)
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Assist with QA testing
  • Assist with second/third-line support
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Assist with coding and troubleshooting

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field; or a combination of relevant training and experience.

  • Seven or more years of recent front-end development experience
  • Seven or more years of recent back-end development experience
  • Four or more years of recent Sitecore development experience

Key Skills

  • Proficient understanding of .NET (C#, MVC)
  • Experience with creation of PowerShell scripts
  • Knowledge of various design and architectural patterns
  • Good understanding of database technologies like SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient with browser testing and debugging
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Good understanding of accessibility (WCAG) principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Development experience for both mobile and desktop.
  • Knowledge or experience with Agile Development.
  • Experience with PHP and Node.js
  • Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet commitments
  • Good understanding of Web API, JSON, REST, XML
  • Familiar with Azure Cloud: Azure Portal, App Services, Azure Database for MySQL servers
  • Visual Studio, Visual Studio Team Services
  • Bilingual (French/English, both spoken and written)

Additional Skills

  • At least one development project using Sitecore 8.x
  • Experience with Coveo for Sitecore On-Premises 4.0 and/or Coveo for Sitecore Cloud
  • Familiarity with NGINX reverse proxy
  • Familiarity with SSL configuration
  • Understanding of DNS configuration
  • Familiarity with Azure VMs (Linux VM, Windows)
  • Familiarity with Redis Cache
  • Experience with web deployments, IIS
