We currently have an opening for a Project Manager in
our Markham office. The successful candidate will have
10+ years of Ontario experience engaging with clients
directly, in providing innovative design, while working
in a dynamic team environment, to improve overall group
performance and client service, of which have a minimum
of 5 years as Project Manager. You ll provide technical
expertise and project management on municipal
transportation projects for public sector clients with a
focus on highways, roads, and related infrastructure.
Working with a dynamic team in a collaborative work
environment, the Project Manager will be based primarily
out of Markham but will be expected to collaborate with
our offices in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Kitchener. The
successful individual will be responsible for the
leadership and management of projects across Ontario,
delivering services in the areas of:
Municipal Transportation projects (primary role)
Municipal Infrastructure projects (supplementary
This individual will seek to improve AE s position as a
leading service provider in the Municipal Transportation
and Municipal Infrastructure market by promoting the

goals and objectives established in collaboration with
the Group Manager.
Responsibilities include the following:
Providing a leadership role in the preparation of
designs, cost estimates, and solutions in the
Participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering,
Advancing projects through the concept, design and
construction phases, managing existing clients, and
developing new clients.
Delivering projects on budget and within identified
Acting as the primary contact for all
project-related client & Company Site Inspector
Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to
undertake municipal transportation and
Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and
Engaging in a collaborative work environment with
your team, as well as other disciplines and offices.
Undertaking contract administration role.

Job Requirements:What you will bring to the table:
Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an
accredited post-secondary institution.
Registered as a Professional Engineer with PEO.
10+ years of progressive experience in designing
municipal transportation, based in Ontario, is
Experience of designing infrastructure projects in
Ontario, is an asset.
Demonstrated project management experience is
Proven integrity to deal with sensitive, privileged
and confidential employee or client matters.
Proven ability to liaise and manage clients,
contractors, and other consultants relationships.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills,
including strong negotiation, mediation, and
Experience in business development and growth (in
