Arcadis Canada Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, well-organized, dependable a Senior Geologist / Geological Engineer
to join our Richmond Hill or Mississauga Ontario

The successful candidate will be able to serve as an intermediary between upper level staff and junior staff. This full-time position requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing geotechnical, hydrogeological and environmental site investigations and oversight of construction and remediation activities.
Responsibilities may include
Conducting geotechnical site assessments and analysis and interpretation of geotechnical data (slope stability analysis, structure foundation design recommendations, rock core logging)
Conducting hydrogeological site assessments (groundwater flow characterization, infiltration studies, dewatering calculations and pump tests)
Construction site supervision and contractor oversight (building foundation and earth structure construction and environmental remediation program supervision)
Conducting environmental site assessments (soil, ground water, and vapor intrusion sampling) and analysis of environmental data
Conducting Geothermal Investigations to evaluate the potential for heating/cooling systems
Managing projects and field teams responsible for various types of sampling/ field work and remedial construction oversight
Preparation of reports and data analysis including conceptual site models
Preparation of work plans and cost estimates
Oversight of subcontractors
Travel requirements are approximately 50% and may require longer stays (2 to 4 weeks) in field/project sites continuously at locations throughout Canada.
- 10 years or more relevant geology/geological engineering consulting experience
Bachelor of Science in Geology or Geological/Civil Engineering
MSc. in Geology or related field would be an asset
Strong experience and comfort working both in the office and in the field under various scenarios including remote locations
Experience with geotechnical and/or hydrogeological modelling Software
Eligible or qualified to become a P.Geo. or P.Eng. in Ontario
Required Driving Statement
This position requires a current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
