This 8 to 12-week spring internship program will expose the selected candidate to various elements of the marketing research mix and its cycle of activities with emphasis on survey development, data analysis, report generation and other marketing research related activities. This also includes: planning, analysis, audience targeting, promotion development, and evaluation. Position demands maturity, sound judgement, flexibility, and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
Provide day-to-day assistance for various marketing research projects under direction of the marketing research manager. Projects may include: assisting with data analysis, coordination of information exchange between departments/vendors, quantitative and qualitative project development, along with scripting infographics and newsletters.
Assist marketing research manager and marketing research analyst with background research for assigned projects including: competitive analyses, customer demographics and segmentation analyses.
Attend marketing department and project-related meetings as needed. Prepare research materials and present to internal department workgroups. Take notes and follow up on assigned responsibilities.
Provide additional administrative support to the department including: contact follow-up, presentation preparation, word processing/spreadsheets, and proofing/editing materials as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as required.
The successful candidate must be in his/her Junior or Senior year of an accredited college or university program (completed at least 60credit hours).
Must have completed at least two college-level marketingcourses.
Demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, association management, or non-profit/healthcare career and industries.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently as needed, and follow-up on assigned projects.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.
Experience with print production, databases, marketing research.
Administrative/support and willingness to work as part of a team.
TERM OF INTERNSHIP:
Consecutive weeks during the months of January through April(depending on the candidate’s college schedule).
Full-time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 4 days/week.
SALARY: $10 to $12 per hour, depending oncandidate’s qualifications.
