The PL Junior Product Manager is accountable for all product related aspects of items sold through the North America PL business. The primary responsibilities of the PL Junior Product Manager will be to spearhead the launch of new PL items, encompassing product and packaging and evaluating product feature/benefit competitiveness. The PL Junior Product Manager will also play a critical role to work closely with , Sourcing & Supply Chain to optimize and find cost saving opportunities for Medicom and PL customers.
Education & Training
REQUIRED: UNIVERSITY DEGREE (BACHELOR’S DEGREE) PREFERENCE IN MARKETING

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
By assuming project management of New Product Introduction (NPI) launches for PL and guiding the cross-functional team from kickoff through to product launch.
2) Maintain competitiveness of PL products:
Product Cost Monitoring:
Work with Sourcing, Corporate, Finance to understand drivers of variances in product costing that have an impact on PL gross margins
Identify corrective actions on product costing in collaboration with Sourcing
Partner with Sourcing & Medicom factories to create a sustainable process to continuously reduce costs through product optimization (i.e. sku rationalization, artwork changes, specification changes etc.)
Lead packaging and artwork projects
Artwork Revisions which may be Initiated by the customer or internally
Determine project scope: Internal & External Communication and assume project leadership role as appropriate.
Initiate Change Control as per process requirements
Complete steps in Artwork Process where Brand Manager is designated as responsible
Coordinate depletion of existing printed packaging material at manufacturing site
PL Samples Library
Primary responsibility for maintenance of PL samples library
Coordinate receipt and sending of PL samples to customers, suppliers and others
3)Execute on identified growth opportunities:
By preparing proposals tailored to PL customers while ensuring proposals meet or exceed profitability targets and benchmarks set by the organization and/or are in line with PL strategy.
Prepare Proposals (shared responsibility with PL Growth Manager depending on workload allocation)
PL Junior Product Manager aligns with the PL Operations Manager on prioritization of proposals to be developed and issued.
Analyze and review qualified opportunities
Review with proposals for approval in line with specified PL team approval guidelines
Submit to customer for review. Support sales reps in presenting proposal and answering customer queries.
Coordinate samples with PL customer Service Manager on customer request.
4) Coordinate & administer of PL sales promotion & marketing activities:
By processing invoices related to PL marketing activities and maintaining spend tracking under direction of PL Operations Manager.
Customer Marketing Activities
Under direction of PL Operations Manager, approve invoices related to PL marketing activities such as Plates, Marketing, Packaging etc
