Are you energized by the prospect of working with the highest potential startups in the world to help them succeed on, and with, AWS? The AWS Startup Business Development Team is seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager to lead the relationship development with our most strategic startup customer CXOs globally.
The AWS Startup Business Development Team is comprised of former founders/CXOs/operators who put Amazon's assets to work on behalf of the world's startups, from conception to M&A/IPO. Our mission is to help startups from Day 1, for the long run. For startups that choose to build on AWS, we work in partnership to speed their products to market, surmount technical and regulatory challenges, build products that operate securely at scale, and win them more business domestically and in global markets. We do this by mobilizing our own people, technology, knowledge, programs, relationships and sales channels ("assets"), across Amazon, to work on their behalf.
As Strategic Business Development Manager, you will develop CXO relationships that allow you to understand, and frame, the customers' strategic goals and align, or create, Amazon assets towards helping customers achieve those goals. You will work closely with sales, solution architects, product, partner and marketing teams in the alignment, and creation, of Amazon assets to serve customer needs. The unique value of Strategic Business Development, amongst the many AWS teams that serve strategic startup customers, is to:
The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience as a CXO or member of the senior management team in startups. Functional experience should encompass strategy, product, sales/marketing, operations and finance. Technical depth, especially in cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications, is beneficial. Prior roles as an executive in a global enterprise, or as a venture capital investor, are of considerable value.
