Location: New York, New York

Job Description

As the Senior Software Development Engineer for Amazon.com’s Delivery Experience Purchasing team, you will lead a team delivering solutions that make it quick and easy for Amazon customers worldwide to checkout. The Delivery Experience (DEX) organization defines, builds, launches and manages customer-facing delivery programs and features across all of Amazon, including Prime 2-day shipping, Prime FREE Same-Day Delivery, One-Day Shipping, No Rush, Free Shipping over $25, and inventions yet to come.

We have a need for senior software engineer to come in and be the team’s technical leader. You will drive design and implementation of innovations to improve customers’ purchasing experience – from which delivery options they see, to how we introduce new delivery options, how we arbitrate between competing benefit programs, and how we recommend and select the best delivery option for the customer.

We are a diverse team with people from 4 continents and our role is to ensure customers in every country, on every device, can quickly and easily checkout with the best delivery option for their needs.

Come and join a team whose software affects all customers purchasing on Amazon.com and our international marketplaces.

The successful candidate will enjoy extensive influence as you will work closely with partner teams both within and outside of DEX to drive successful deliveries and develop new customer facing solutions. In addition to building customer facing solutions we are also investing in architectural improvements, building new tools that make problem investigation easier and more efficient, and improving our ability to measure, research, explore, and experiment with ways to improve the delivery experience and increase customer satisfaction.
