Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager / Program Manager

Department: Operations

Job Overview and Responsibilities

Reporting to the IT PMO Director, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of a set of web and mobile projects. This role is responsible for managing all project phases from initiation and analysis, design, development to testing and deployment of the overall program. You will be workingin a highly Agile environment. The candidate must be well organized, dynamic and have the leadership capacity to provide overall guidance to upper management and program stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for the overall program timeline, risks, budget and quality
  • Manage the status reports and maintain stability of project oriented work efforts
  • Develop project plans and organize teamwork assignments while directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis
  • Work closely with the developers, testers, POs, Scrum Master and Business Owners (including virtual teams)
  • Identify resource needs, performing quality reviews and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately
  • Track key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of internal customers
  • Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
  • Able to lead executive steering committees

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field
  • 7 to 10 years of IT work experience, including 5+ years in project management
  • Experience with Web and Mobile development projects
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies, tools, resource management practices and change management techniques (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Outstanding communications skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics for nontechnical audiences
  • Working experience with SDLC and deliverables associated with each phase
  • Experience in estimating costs, resources and developing delivery plans
  • Experience within the retail industry
  • PMP Certification is an key asset
  • Bilingual (English and French)
