The Coordinator has indirect project obligations to IT Project Directors/Managers for matters relating to IT project activities. The Coordinator is available to coach the Imaging Applications Specialists in the day to day work activities and has a positive mentoring relationship with the team members. The multitude of Diagnostic Imaging systems (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, Radiology Information Systems, Voice Recognition System, 3D Post Processing System, Cardiology Data Management System) require an expert to understand the complex relationship of the applications; the Coordinator will be the go to person when problem escalation occurs. Strong leadership skills and development of frameworks are necessary for the Coordinator to implement changes that impact not only Diagnostic Imaging, but other areas that use Diagnostic Imaging systems. The Coordinator understands the business processes to recommend and implement best practices and set standards for optimum patient care. The Coordinator’s accountabilities will show that he/she has a significant impact to the department, which results in successful Diagnostic Imaging system operations for all AHS end-users.
Post-Secondary Education: Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution for Imaging Technology with experience in information management and technology and /or experience in Diagnostic Imaging in a multi-facility healthcare environment Minimum five to ten (5-10) years of experience working in Diagnostic Imaging, or providing technical support to Diagnostic Imaging systems in a healthcare setting.
Experience with multiple healthcare systems outside of Diagnostic Imaging (i.e. electronic health record, clinical information systems, etc.) an asset. Previous supervisory and/or management experience an asset.
