Job Description

The Manning Site, Seniors Health and Medical Clinic Manager is a key leadership role in the North Zone, Area 2 and reports directly to the Director of Clinical Operations. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership and organization of site, senior’s health and medical clinic services within the Manning Community Health Center. This work will be accomplished through planning, delivery and evaluating health services in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. Responsibilities will include making key decisions regarding the integration of various resources to ensure effective delivery of health services within the Manning Community Health Center. This position will also be accountable for providing leadership in establishing and contributing to the achievement of the goals of Clinical Operations within the North Zone. The Manager is responsible for: Implementation, operational management, and monitoring of integrated acute care and long term care services within site. Assessing, planning, directing and evaluating the operations and activities of the site within established policies, guidelines, and regulations. Participating in the budget process and monitoring financial position of the site through variance report analysis.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor degree in healthcare profession, healthcare management or related field. A minimum of 2 to 5 years in a management role in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.

Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with external stakeholders.
