In collaboration with various provincial programs, leaders, physicians and staff, the Director - Infection Prevention and Control will ensure the effective application of sound infection prevention and control principles and practices. This is accomplished by leading, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the operational area within the province-wide IPC program. In addition, the Director IPC is accountable for staffing, performance development, and fiscal management within the portfolio.
Possess Baccalaureate Degree in a health related field. Active licensure with a regulatory body (CARNA, ACMLT) required, as applicable. 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development.
Travel is required.
Graduate degree preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred, or must commit to obtain within a defined period of time. Practical content knowledge in all areas of infection prevention and control.
