Connect Care is a collaborative effort between Alberta Health and AHS staff, clinicians, and patients. As the Director, you will have the opportunity to work with operational leaders to capture and report on risks and risk mitigation strategies across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Director must have the ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines. The Director will provide guidance and assistance to organizational units with the identification and understanding of significant risks in order to compliment the transformation efforts of one provincial Clinical Information System. The successful candidate will have the ability to initiate, implement and support new or modified risk management practices and processes in the organization to warrant effective strategies that lead to the overall success and outcomes of the program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthcare and promote an environment that fosters quality improvement and a culture of safety for staff and patients in order to achieve organization goals. The Director must possess effective communication and negotiation skills with a customer-oriented approach. Building and maintaining positive relationships with open communication between various stakeholders is important for the coordination and streamlining of resources. The incumbent must also have the ability to have line of sight of overall project goals. The Director must foster a highly effective team culture with a strong commitment to excellent client service, healthy team dynamics and a culture that is built on AHS values.
A minimum of Masters in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related field required. (CERA, CRMA, CISM, or CPA designation preferred.) A minimum of 8 years in a related position in a role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Healthcare experience is an asset. Equivalencies of education and experience will be considered.
