The Clinical Liaison (Capital Management) will coordinate, support and facilitate for a number of projects. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED) of Capital Management, the Clinical Liaison supports the ED in the coordination of the Clinical Liaison function in gathering information and developing documentation supporting overview or approval of the following project process phases: needs assessment, business case, functional programs, design, construction and operational commissioning of the projects. This position ensures that client needs are defined and met over the course of the project. The Clinical Liaison facilitates and leads groups to consensus and approval, and essentially defines and defends the scope and quality of the projects. The AHS Clinical Liaison oversees the user interface process and works at the external interface for AHS on the projects with Alberta Infrastructure (AI), Alberta Health & Wellness (AHW), consultants, and other external partners. The Clinical Liaison will support a provincial team of other Clinical Liaison for projects and other AHS Planning and Design experts. Collectively, they will share their experience, objectives, approaches, issues and solutions in support of the projects. The Clinical Liaison (Capital Management) will also investigate issues across all projects and develop administrative tools and processes in the Clinical Liaison function. The CL will be willing to travel in Alberta and would be based in Grande Prairie.
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Admin / Management, Architecture, Health Discipline, Interior Design or related area plus appropriate license or other recognized designations. A minimum of five years experience in health care, preferably in an acute care setting, healthcare facility planning or project management including planning and design experience in a organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.Additional Required Qualifications:
Unique knowledge or skills required include: Extensive knowledge of best practices applicable to AHS, Capital Management, Capital Operations & Government Integration, Planning & Design Services. Facilitation, communication and coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Team leadership skills including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Experience in coordinating research projects or teams, complex data analysis and interpretation, evaluation methodologies and developing formal reports. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation and negotiation. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services and outcome. Ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Skills in negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution are required.
