Job Description

As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recognized secretarial training (ie. Graduate of a secretarial college or a business program) is required or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible administrative experience is required. Demonstrated experience with dictation systems is required. Ability to type 60-70 wpm. Demonstrated advanced software and some hardware experience; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook web access (calendar and email), Google calendar. Demonstrated experience in excel spreadsheet development including formula development and spreadsheet manipulation. Basic accounting knowledge. Significant personal initiative is required. Sensitive to complex issues. Must be able to work under pressure to manage priorities and to meet deadlines with multiple interruptions. Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and decision making skills are necessary to anticipate, identify and independently recommend appropriate action to complex administrative problems. Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential in managing confrontational, confidential and problem-solving situations. A keen awareness of precedent and the Medical Director's preferred approach is essential. Organizational skills and effective time management to prioritize work independently with multiple, sometimes conflicting demands.
