Product Manager Private Labels At Agropur

Location: Saint-Hubert, Quebec

Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, the Product Manager actively participates in the sector’s strategic development and directs all projects related to new private label products (innovation, expansion of the product line, renewal), in accordance with the product development process. The Product Manager is responsible for analyzing and managing the performance of his/her product portfolio, knowing the market and tracking the budgets of projects for which he/she is responsible.


** 12 months contract**


More specifically, the Product Manager:


  • Manages the life cycle of products under his/her responsibility
  • Receives and analyses requests for new private label products. Makes recommendations regarding feasibility, complexity, production capacity and potential profitability
  • Suggests private label projects (e.g. innovation, expansion of product line) to optimize our available production capacity and/or meet customer needs
  • As Project Manager, leads the multidisciplinary team responsible for new private label products, acts as the main intermediary between the various departments
  • Carries out product launches in conjunction with the various stakeholders (e.g. the sales force, Production, etc.)
  • Evaluates the performance and positioning of products under his/her responsibility and those of competitors in order to identify opportunities and threats, makes recommendations
  • Strategizes the discontinuation of underperforming products
  • Manages his/her assigned marketing budget and that of related projects
  • Takes part in developing and executing the marketing plan to achieve growth targets
  • Serves as the expert on his/her product portfolio for internal stakeholders and customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration (Marketing), Food Science and Technology or Project Management
  • Minimum five years’ experience in consumer goods, preferably in the food industry (dairy an asset)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (French/English), ability to communicate with a variety of audiences
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in product development and launches (an asset)
  • Project management training (Stage Gate), with multidisciplinary teams (an asset)
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational, planning and multitasking skills
  • Understanding of financial concepts to be able to evaluate project profitability (P&L)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
