AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil EIT for immediate employment for the Burnaby, BC office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:
+ Obtain materials, gather data/info from various sources and agencies
+ Research and resolve issues related to utilities, landscaping, traffic and site servicing that impact individual projects
+ Prepare due diligence and feasibility reports
+ Develop preliminary commercial site layouts and design
+ Interpret survey information, preform site grading / earthworks and other calculations
+ Requisition site investigations and surveys and administer contracts
+ Conduct site inspections
+ Assist in obtaining approvals from various agencies
+ Develop overall knowledge of municipal and client engineering standards and requirements
+ Perform other duties as assigned
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering or other related field required (Mechanical/Environmental/Chemical Engineering) from an accredited University or Technical College
+ Must have basic knowledge and experience with AutoCAD
+ Self-motivated individual, possessing good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks over multiple projects
+ 1+ year of experience in a consulting environment on Land Development and Municipal design projects is desirable
+ Knowledge of municipal land development principles and requirements relevant to commercial developments is an asset
+ Civil 3D, Revit, AutoTURN, GIS and Hydrologic/Hydraulic modeling experience are assets
