Computer Scientist At Adobe

As a member of the AEM Asset Engineering, you will be responsible for overall feature and product quality while working closely with other team members to evolve and innovate the next generation of Adobe's AEM Assets platform. The successful candidate will play a very important role in ensuring our products are released with the highest possible quality and also be critical to the continuous advancement of the workflow, projects, and Assets product areas. We are looking for a bright, motivated individual to join a high-caliber, fast-paced team.


The successful candidate may have previously been employed in a quality or feature engineering role, works independently, has worked in an agile team environment and has excellent communication skills backed by technical expertise. AEM is undergoing a transformation into Unified Engineering and adopting a DevOps culture so the successful candidate will bring a strong DevOps and/or TechOps background and will engage in open discussion across a large diverse group of engineers transforming the way we work.


Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, build, and support new Micro-Services and existing product capabilities
  • Own and implement production-quality features for AEM Assets, Workflows, and Projects
  • Perform your own pre-deployment QA and implement comprehensive unit tests, Integration Test and UI tests for confirming functionality and performance of new code
  • Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs
  • Commitment to DevOps culture
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues
  • Embrace a highly collaborative team that requires effective communication and quality contributions

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: BS/MS in Computer Science or similar discipline
  • 6+ years of software development experience preferably in product companies
  • Strong front end and web backends development experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular.js, React.js, REST APIs, or similar tech stacks
  • Experience in developing and scaling Web Services and Web Technologies, with a history of early adoption
  • Experience with Performance Analysis and Improvements of large scale Web Sites and high utilization Services
  • Experience in engineering SaaS based software development using agile methodologies
  • Docker/container experience and serverless (Openwisk, Lambda, etc.) a plus
  • Experience with web serving technologies, load balancing, CDN technologies, caching policies
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Azure environments and technologies a plus
  • Experience with distributed systems, networking, databases, CDNs, message queues, and reverse proxies a plus
  • Experience with Operations (AWS, Terraform, scalability, high availability & security) a big plus
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate
