Our growing Burlington client who is a leader in the Security industry is looking for a Human Resource Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience and will manage all aspects of the companies Human Resources Administrative needs. You will maintain an efficient office and filing infrastructure for personnel and related records. You will effectively update all new information in the scheduling system and possibly payroll system. Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Recruiter, sources candidates for employment through the placement of advertisements and/or employee referrals Conducts initial telephone screening for all applicants, and books interviews Completes reference checks Completes and reviews all employee file related documents. Provide support to Recruiter to prepare for company hiring events, even when conducted off site. Responsible for all aspects of licensing, including renewals and terminations in accordance with Ministry requirements. Maintains all employee files and ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements Coordinates the purchasing and issue of all uniforms with the Administrator to ensure requirements are met. Maintains accuracy of scheduling database, review dates, start dates and pay rates. Creates and maintains accurate employee profiles in the scheduling system and/or HRIMS which may involve conversion from paper to digital of legacy employee files. Maintains an up to date database for all Human Resources related information Control and administration of first aid and CPR Courses in conjunction with the National Employee Development Manager Ensures office area is kept clean, neat and professional in appearance Assists all aspects of Health & Safety as it relates to employees. Ensures ISO 9001: 2008 procedures are followed Monitors review dates of all employees and ensures reviews are conducted on time. Performs a reasonable amount of overtime as required. Assists in screening resumes. Maintains an excellent knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for unionized operations and ensures that scheduling is done in accordance with the provisions contained therein. Other duties as may be required from time to time. Skills Computer literacy is required, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and MS Outlook email. Must be able to operate windows based computer systems. Must have proficient typing skills. Must have excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to handle difficult callers, stressful situations and multiple tasks in a professional, positive and constructive manner. Has conflict resolution skills and is able to use them effectively. Demonstrates good judgment in the performance of all duties.
