Key Account Manager - AAD At 3M

Job Description

3M is seeking a Key Account Manager for its Automotive Aftermarket Division (AAD) located in Alberta. The successful candidate will make an impact by meeting and exceeding national forecasts and by being the key contact for industry relations activities (working with leading paint companies, insurance partners, collision repair businesses, etc.). The Key Account Manager will support BC to Manitoba.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with regional MSO managers to convert and grow the AAD business (implementing SOP charts, developing and executing conversion programs, etc.)
  • Align with Distributor and Channel partners to position 3M as the preferred portfolio of products
  • Understand our position in the collision repair business (where it is heading), and identify ideal partners to ensure top line growth
  • New product introductions (NPI), including opening inventory suggestions
  • Perform quarterly reviews with key partners
  • Initiate and manage SAP Shopping Carts for key account distribution and channel/MSO’s and industry partners/events

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate customer events
  • A passion and aptitude to learn about the AAD business, its customers, and products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing
  • 3 years of sales experience (Channel or Distribution experience an asset)
  • Strong MS Office and Salesforce.com skills

Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time, which may involve overnight stays throughout the Western region, Canada, and the US. A valid driver’s license is required. Occasional activities occur during non-standard business hours.
